It also assists with an individual’s ability to perform his or her job responsibilities to the fullest by providing an opportunity to obtain the attitudes, skills, and knowledge to not only gain employment but also to improve work performance.

Workforce Development

At DIIP, we know that unemployment, incarceration, and low wages create an increasing effect that produces a cycle that prevents communities and individuals from improving their life outcomes. Youth workforce development is important because it creates opportunities for youth to obtain a job or to develop the necessary skills they are currently lacking to get a good job and both assist youth with the opportunity to increase positive life outcomes, overall.
